Books We Read
You may have noticed the side bar entitled “Books We Like to Dive Into.” This is a list of our favorite books to which we can add titles. This week I am reading a new book about writing. It’s written by the man who wrote the Left Behind books. I’m enjoying reading his comments on writing. I find it easy to get distracted by other things besides my work. I don’t have a teacher telling me to get back to work, or a set schedule as there is at school. But R. Jenkins says that writing is a job, and we wouldn’t get to skip work just because the sun is shining, so writers shouldn’t skip their work because the sun is shining. (Obviously, he doesn’t live in the Pacific Northwest!) I don’t really want to skip work—the sun gives me lots of creative energy—I want to do it all, work and play both! How does the sun affect you? What new books have you read? Any we should add to our blog list?

book discussion
One of the things that makes it hard to do a book discussion on a blog is that I'm not sure where you are in reading the book. I don't want to say something that will give away the end, or change your perceptions of the book as you read. Perhaps it's best to conduct a book discussion after everyone has had a chance to read the book!
